Tailtelier (“we,” “us,” or “our”) handcrafts custom pet keepsakes from the photos you share with us. We know those photos are personal, and we treat your information with the same care we put into every piece. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

We only collect what we need to make your keepsake and get it to you:

• Order details — your name, email address, shipping address, the products you choose, and the engraving or personalization options you select.
• Pet photos — the images you upload so our artisans can engrave your keepsake. We use them only to create and fulfill your order.
• Payment information — your card details are entered directly with our payment processor, Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
• Communications — messages you send us about an order, plus the order conversation tied to your purchase.
• Usage data — basic technical information your browser sends, such as device type and pages visited, used to keep the site working and improve it.

How we use your information

We use the information above to:

• Create, engrave, and ship your custom keepsake.
• Process payments and prevent fraudulent or unauthorized transactions.
• Send order confirmations, shipping updates, and replies to your questions.
• Provide customer support and manage your order.
• Maintain, secure, and improve our website.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your pet photos for advertising or share them publicly without your permission.

Service providers we share with

We share information only with the trusted partners that help us run Tailtelier, and only as much as each one needs:

• Stripe — securely processes your payment.
• Shipping carriers — deliver your keepsake to the address you provide.
• Email provider — sends your order confirmations and updates on our behalf.
• Hosting & database providers — store your order securely so we can fulfill and support it.

We may also disclose information when required by law, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Tailtelier and our customers.

Your photos

The photos you upload are used solely to design and produce your keepsake. We retain them while your order is active and for a reasonable period afterward in case you reorder or need a replacement. You can ask us to delete your photos at any time by contacting us — see below.

Data retention

We keep order information for as long as needed to fulfill your purchase, provide support, and meet our legal and accounting obligations. When information is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it.

Security

We use industry-standard safeguards to protect your information, including encryption in transit and secure, access-controlled storage. No method of transmission or storage is ever completely secure, but we work hard to keep your data safe.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, or to object to certain uses. To exercise any of these rights, just email us and we'll help.
